Claire Tyson Nichols, born in Beverley, East Yorkshire, England.
Attended South Hunsley Secondary School, between 1984 and 1991 and went on to study sports science at Bedford College (1992-92). This was where Claire developed a passion for water sports, including scuba diving, windsurfing and sailing.
She then went on to train as a PE Teacher at Loughborough University, (1996-97) whilst becoming a Scuba Diving Instructor. After a year of full time teaching, the world of travel beckoned and she took up her first of many jobs as a dive instructor. Worked in Greece, Turkey, Thailand & Egypt.
After cycling 1600 miles around New Zealand and working in the UK as a supply teacher Claire worked for Ocean Frontiers in Grand Cayman (which was how she met Pete).
Claire is currently working at Fitness Connection teaching babies, children and adults to swim, and also works as a personal trainer for a private family on the island.
