Logbook

Kilifi’s Logbook is a detailed navigational account of each journey she makes. A ships log is an official document which in an emergency, such as lost at sea, in a collision, or total failure of all navigational equipment, can be used as a reference.

Regular entries are made recording the ships position, the compass course and sea and weather conditions. There is space for notes and remarks too such as wildlife you may see, other vessels sighted, the sail plan or simply what you cooked for tea!

Kilifi's log book has the following information: Time, Course, Log (mileage), Distance (since last entry), Power (engine on or off), Wind Direction, Wind force, Barometric pressure, Sea state, Cloud cover, Visibility.

Kilifi will be sending summary logbook entries for this website by Sailmail when she is underway.
