Engine on for a couple of hours to recharge batteries. Changed from starboard to a port tack, (this is simply which side of the boat the wind is blowing towards) but the wind insisting on staying behind us so we attempted to goose wing the sails (instead of both on one side of the boat you can fly one to the left and one to the right, giving a winged appearance) but this didn't work. Kilifi weighs 9 tons and needs a lot to keep her moving forward!

By 1600 the wind started dropping and by 1800 as the sun began to set, Otto decided to wake up and work so we enjoyed drinks at the bow and witness an awesome sunset. A mandatory rum and coke at sunset is law when underway!

Chicken stew for tea, yummyÖ everything tastes wonderful at sea! By midnight the wind completely died and we dropped the sails and turned the engine on.

75 miles for the day.
