Short messages can also be sent to their satellite phone using the Iridium messaging service (bit like SMS). Max length 160 characters. Use sparingly. The number should have been distributed on a need-to-know basis but if you want it please email me.
E-mails can also be sent to Iridium pagers or phones by entering the Iridium phone or pager number into the following generic address, 8816[number]@msg.iridium.com - again, 160 text characters only, and no attachments obviously!
