We arrived at Le Ceiba Shipyard yesterday morning and Kilifi was taken out of the water by a travel hoist.
She is now high & dry on stands in the boat yard. The damage from the hurricane on her hull is minimal and we are checking off all that we need to do during her refit.
She's going to get a good bottom wash today in preparation for sandblasting and eventually all new paint. (We got ours yesterday after 6 days of being at sea!)
We are elated and exhausted and slept for 14 hours straight last night. Pete cooked steak and eggs for breakfast this morning and it never tasted so good! It's very very hot here and we overlook 8500 metre high mountains - stunning.
We have a day of stripping the decks, before flying back to Grand Cayman on Monday morning.
