We have been here almost a week now and are having a wonderful time. Thanksgiving was spent eating the delights Elizabeth cooked and watching the parade on TV, it was just like Christmas! We met up with some new people, two of which lived in Cayman for 17 years who we had never met! Paul and Martha Buford both work as missionaries here now and are doing some fantastic work in the community.
Pete tried out his new spearfishing gun but we think it’s faulty as no fish seemed to jump on! We also went diving on the north side of the island. There is a canal cutting the island in two which makes the journey to the north much quicker.
The camera is working again for now. It’s time in the oven helped! So there are new photos in the gallery.
We attended Church on the Cay yesterday. Paul and Martha have set up an English speaking service for the locals who speak both Spanish and English. My faith has been growing and growing recently and so I had a very special end to the day. I had been Christened as a child and Confirmed as a teenager but had lost touch with my faith. So at sunset at Joss’s key I was Baptized. More about this later because once I start writing on the subject I won’t stop!
