News > Pete back to Kilifi

Pete is heading back to the Rio Dulce...

Sorry it’s been so long since the last update. It’s been a mixture of either no news or it all happens at once!

My Brothers wedding was fantastic. The weather was glorious and the bride absolutely gorgeous!

Photos can be seen in the Gallery under ‘England Visits’ or at

For those of you wondering why we have been so long in the UK; I needed medical treatment (nothing major) and was fortunate to get the minor op fitted in before our due date to fly back to Guatemala. Sadly, however, only Pete made the flight. We decided that traveling for 72 hours was not a good idea so I will join Pete in 2 weeks time when fully recovered!

We have just applied for temporary work permits for the summer in Grand Cayman and Kilifi will stay in the Rio Dulce for this years hurricane season (June-November). Before we go we still have tons of work to do to her, so if you like sanding work and want some sun...come and join us!

We have decided not to plan too far ahead now! Things have a habit of changing and we are learning the true meaning of the Arabic phrase ‘Inshallah’ (God willing)!!

Hope you are all well, wherever in the world you may be reading this!
