Sorry it has been almost 2 months since the last update. We are back into working hard and with me needing to sleep at least 9 hours a night we have not really been doing much.
I am now 4 months pregnant and just starting to show (it’s very strange to have a belly!) and I am waiting with much excitement to feel the baby’s first kicks which should occur soon.
Pete has been extremely busy teaching at the Red Cross and we just had our first hurricane watch of the season here last weekend when ‘Ernesto’ looked as though it was heading right for us (it veered North over Cuba and has just blown across Florida as a tropical storm).
I have just begun a new job teaching P.E at First Baptist Christian School. It is the same school/ministry that Paul and Martha are missionaries for (the couple we met in Guanaja) and where we go to church. The school only has 85 students ranging in age from 5 – 14 so it will be a challenge to teach right across that age group. There is also a nursery on-site for when the ‘Bean’ is born and I have to return to work.
We miss Kilifi and the getaway of sailing. We realise our plans to live onboard with a newborn was a little adventurous! Already the baby has more clothes and toys then we do and without a washing machine and proper shower we would struggle. We have been invited to stay with a friend until Christmas and then we have an apartment arranged for 1st Jan, which will give us time to settle in before my due date. (The books say the 14th Feb, but the doctor said the 12th Feb).
Keep in touch and let us know your news from your part of the world!
