It’s really the strangest thing to wait for. Most things in life we look forward to have a set date and time and we just wait patiently, get prepared, get excited or nervous or both and count the days. The birth of a child is different, we don’t know if I will start my contractions in the next 2 minutes or next two weeks.

Are we ready? As ready as we will ever be to meet this new member of our family. I’m ready, I believe it when I’ve read that it’s easier to prepare for a marathon then for labour though!
