“Enjoy every moment because it passes all too quickly” was the advice we received and it certainly is doing. Alex is already 4 months and is growing at a rapid rate. She is thriving and off the charts with her growth rate – a possible Olympic champion in the making?!
Pete had planned to get Kilifi mid April but sadly one of his 5 brothers died so we had an unplanned trip to the UK for David’s funeral. Alexandra was great therapy for the Hughes family and brought some much needed smiles and lots of love to all.
On the Nichols side we got to meet baby Sophia (born 15th April), my brothers little baby girl and my sister announced she is due to have a baby in December! What a year for my parents – 3 grandchildren in 2007!
Peter is in Guanaja fixing Kilifi. If all goes well he will sail her home. If she can’t be mended just yet then she will get taken out of the water in La Ceiba once again for this years hurricane season (June to November).
I am back at work full time, only to have summer holidays shortly. My Mum is looking after Alex and we all fly to the UK together on the 30th June.
Oh, we have just moved too! The old apartment had mould growing in the air conditioning ducts, a common occurrence after Hurricane Ivan. We now live directly opposite my school and our church in a great apartment block with a pool and huge garden; all ready for Alexandra to start toddling!
